For Birds of Prey at Weta Digital, I was only involved in the 2 final shots of the movie.  For both, I have used a blend of 2D for the background projected on simple geometry and 3D modelling/rendering in Clarisse for the mid-ground building because of parallax and camera movement. The second shot required more modelling as the camera travels across the left building which had to be fully replaced to suit the story.
