I created those still frames as references during the pre-production of our graduation movie : To The Other Side. Mood panels were also created at the same time to really create a visual identity for our short movie. By taking real framings of our storyboard as a base for those concepts, it also helped us starting our layouts and previs work at the same time as defining the art direction of our project.
At the same time the whole team went to Paris to take actual streets and references photography on location. Half of the movie is happening in a futuristic version of Paris and during our small trip we could gather many textures, props references and also start early in the project discussion about camera angle. Some of those concept started with actual photography of Paris.
